"Avoiding Bias When Selling Divorced Homes"
By: Courtney Silverman, Real Estate Agent and Member of the West Broward Chapter

Courtney Silverman NADP West Broward Chapter MemberThis month, Courtney Silverman, Residential Real Estate Agentwith the Keyes Company and Member of our West Broward Chapter, gave an ED Talk regarding how to avoid bias when selling divorced homes.

This is very important to keep in mind, especially when it comes to real estate. Real Estate professionalsmust remain unbiased when dealing with those going through the divorce process. The process is a sensitive one, so agents mustdo their best to treat both parties equally and focus on what's most important: helping both parties move forward in the smoothest way possible. Remaining professional and diplomatic will ease the transaction, thus easing the divorce process as a whole.
Thank you for sharing your expertise, Courtney!
NADP Members, we want your input and insight!

The NADP is an excellent platform for professionals to educate each other regarding the different aspects of the divorce process and industry. Member, this is your opportunity to speak to each other. Like you do with your NADP ED Talks (which you can turn into an article!), enlighten your fellow members on what you'd like them to know when dealing with divorce clients. As a lawyer, is there something you want your client's Financial Advisor or Real Estate Agent to keep in mind as they're working with them? As a Mental Health Professional, do you have any tips for other divorce professionals on how they can make their clients feel more at ease if they're feeling scared or confused? Write an article about it! Let's hear your insight!

We are going to be continuously on the lookout for your content and will be sharing it across social media and here our newsletter!

Happy Writing, Members!

Remember, you can also alwaysvisit your chapter blogs on the website and share your feedback and insight via the comments section of your fellow member's post (This is a great way to start a conversation!).
Submit your content to for review today!

Here's what some of our members have said:
"This is an amazing series for a social media platform that is essential to today’s business environment. Being many (maybe another many) years older than many of my professional colleagues, I need to see how things work, and I need to be shown where to point and click, or I don’t get it, and then I don’t do it.

Kimball is very thorough, very detailed in her explanations and makes sure that it is understood. This is an invaluable series that I have been waiting for. Thank you Kimball, and thank you NADP for providing this information to the members." -Harriett Fox, Forensic Accountant and Member of the Aventura Chapter
