Summer is in full swing, and we've had the hurricanes to prove it! We hope this newsletter finds all of our members from the eastern seaboard safe and with air conditioning.

The last two weeks have been busy for us at National, and we want to share some vital information, links to past webinars, and also keep you updated on the special topics we have in store for you. So let's go!

On July 24th we completed the first Live Online Certified Divorce Specialist (CDS®) Training, and it was fantastic. Our students learned the communication skills they need to work efficiently with divorcing clients, including understanding the language systems and culture of the divorce process across the industries.  We are thrilled to welcome our latest graduates to our growing CDS® Community.  To hear what they are have to say about the program, click here.

There are 18.5 Florida CLEs as well as 16 CDFA CE credits available for the program, and NADP members receive a highly discounted rate. For more information, or to register for one of our upcoming online trainings on Aug 20, 21 & 28 or September 24, 25 & Oct 2, click here.

Are you taking advantage of our monthly marketing webinar series?

As an NADP member benefit, every third Thursday at 12 noon EST, during our "Lunch and Leverage" series, we bring you marketing experts from across the country to help you build your brand and your business.

Last month we had digital marketing expert Guy Alvarez from discuss "How to start a successful podcast". You can view the recording to all previous Lunch and Leverage webinars by clicking here.

Thursday, August 13th @ 4:30 PM EST

During these difficult times, our abilities to connect and communicate with our clients is tremendously impaired both by the limitation of physical presence and the added emotional and/or financial stress we are all experiencing. Join Liz Becker, President and Co-founder of the National Association of Divorce Professionals, and Communication Skills Coach & Trainer, as she shares valuable insight about the serious communication mistakes professionals make before, during and after they meet with their clients, ultimately creating a more challenging and adversary environment for both parties. Learn fundamental tools to be able to virtually navigate the professional/client relationship while enabling efficient and productive meetings and outcomes.

Tuesday, August 18th @ 12:00 PM EST

Did you know you can meet and network with other divorce professionals from across the country on our National Chapter Online Meeting? Each month, on the third Tuesday at noon eastern, you can connect with other great professionals interested in meeting you. We have created some great opportunities to help you stand out in your field. Come prepared to get involved, participate in conversations, and join our breakout room networking sessions. It's another part of your NADP member benefits!

Last month we had a critical discussion about the mental health issues that are being exacerbated by COVID-19 with special guest and NADP member Christine Hammond, LMHC, NCC. You can view all past National Chapter meetings recordings here.

Next month Darryl Freeman and Jennifer Castejon will be discussing Cultural Differences in Divorce, and as a special bonus, they will go into a deeper dive on the subject in a separate webinar on August 27. Details below.

Thursday, August 20th @ 12:00 PM EST
Lunch & Leverage

This month we have a valuable webinar using the Kaizen method to make your practice more profitable. "Four corner Kaizen: simple, stress-free shifts to stay profitable during COVID and beyond"

Kaizen is a term that refers to on-going or continuous improvement. The definition of kaizen comes from two Japanese words: 'kai,' meaning 'change' and 'zen' meaning 'good.' The Japanese philosophy was first introduced by Toyota back in the 1980s and has since been adopted by thousands of companies worldwide.

On this webinar, you'll learn the four-corner strategy:

  1. Lowering overhead costs
  2. Utilizing free marketing opportunities
  3. Generating new fees from undiscovered or overlooked places
  4. Creating additional income by adding verticals.

We get overwhelmed when business slows, and costs begin to mount. Making significant changes feels impossible without the energy, focus, or funds that big changes require. The USP of this webinar is to show the cumulative power of small changes over time.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of "kaizen," we will help divorce professionals identify small shifts that accumulate, over time, into significant results.

Thursday, August 27th @ 12:00 PM EST

Now, more than ever, it's time to have an important conversation about the cultural differences in the divorce process. It's critical to understand how families experience a divorce, and how the culture of their ancestry impacts how you need to communicate and empathize with your clients.

There is something inspirational about the United States as a great melting pot of different cultures and traditions. It can also lead to misunderstandings and frustration when we don't understand how someone's ancestral customs impact how they goes through the divorce process. In this webinar, we will learn how cultures from around the world experience this challenging time. CLE's have been applied for.

Join us along with the market integration managers of strategic markets at First American Title Darryl Freeman and Jennifer Castejon, as we discuss this incredibly timely topic.

We hope you take advantage of all of the benefits we have for you. So, jump in and get involved. Great connections are waiting for you!
